Here is the recipe for Paneer Naan in English:
**Ingredients:**
**For the Dough:**
– 2 cups whole wheat flour
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 2 tablespoons oil or ghee
– 1/2 cup yogurt
– Warm water as needed
**For the Filling:**
– 200g paneer, crumbled or cut into small pieces
– 1 onion, finely chopped
– 1 green chili, finely chopped (optional)
– 1 teaspoon ground cumin
– 1 teaspoon ground coriander
– Salt to taste
– Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (optional)
**Instructions:**
1. **For the Dough:** In a large bowl, mix the whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add the oil or ghee and rub it into the dry ingredients with your fingers until the mixture is crumbly.
2. Add the yogurt and mix well. Add warm water as needed and knead to form a soft dough. Cover the dough and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
3. **For the Filling:** In a bowl, mix the crumbled paneer with the chopped onion, green chili (if using), ground cumin, ground coriander, and salt. Optionally, add chopped fresh coriander leaves and mix well.
4. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape each portion into a ball. Roll out one ball on a floured surface to form a circle about 10-12 cm in diameter.
5. Place a tablespoon of the paneer filling in the center of the dough circle. Fold the edges of the dough over the filling and pinch them together to seal. Carefully roll out the filled dough again into a flat circle.
6. Preheat a skillet or tawa over medium heat. Place the filled naan on the hot skillet and cook it on both sides until it is golden brown and cooked through. Repeat the process with the remaining dough and filling.
7. Serve the paneer naan hot, ideally with a dip or sauce of your choice.
