Ingredients:
For the Gulab Jamun:
– 1 cup milk powder
– 1/4 cup flour
– 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
– 1 tablespoon ghee or butter, melted
– 1/4 cup milk
– Oil for frying
For the sugar syrup:
– 1 cup sugar
– 1 cup water
– 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
For the chocolate sauce:
– 100 g dark chocolate, chopped
– 1/2 cup cream
Instructions:
1. For the Gulab Jamun, sift the milk powder, flour, and baking powder into a bowl. Add the melted ghee or butter and mix well.
2. Gradually add the milk and knead into a soft dough. Let the dough rest for about 10 minutes.
3. Shape the dough into small balls, ensuring there are no cracks.
4. Heat the oil in a pot over medium heat. Fry the Gulab Jamun in batches until they are golden brown. Place them on paper towels to drain the excess oil.
5. In another pot, bring the sugar and water for the sugar syrup to a boil. Add the ground cardamom and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Let the syrup simmer for 5 minutes, then set aside.
6. For the chocolate sauce, place the chopped dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Heat the cream in a small pot until it is almost boiling. Pour it over the chopped chocolate and stir until the chocolate is completely melted and a smooth sauce forms.
7. Place the Gulab Jamun in the warm sugar syrup and let them soak for at least 30 minutes.
8. Arrange the Gulab Jamun on serving plates and drizzle with the chocolate sauce.
9. Serve the Gulab Jamun with chocolate sauce warm or at room temperature and enjoy this delicious Indian dessert!
